As the world scrambles to help the cause and effect of abuse (sexual, physical, verbal, emotional and financial) upon the women and children of the world, God knew from the beginning how to give hope, healing and confidence so that they could live a full life blessed of Him. I know I was one of those abused children who carried its effects into my adult life.
Never has there been a time in history other than the accounts of Sodom and Gomorrah where women and children would be under open attack with regard to sexual exploitation and abuse of all kinds.
Social Media displays our little girls, young ladies and women in a way that leaves a hunger and rage in the minds of depraved men whose desire is to attack and abuse these precious souls who were created by God.
God always sends a “deliverer” who can reach these precious broken souls who are on the verge of total destruction at the hands of their abusers; a leader, a king, the church, or a man/woman of God to establish righteousness and justice upon the earth for the benefit of all people.
Because Abraham did righteousness and justice, God was able to give him what He promised (Genesis 18:16—19).
God saw David, a man after His own heart and made him king to do righteousness and justice (1 Samuel 13:14 & Acts 13:22).
The foundation of God’s throne is righteousness and justice (Psalm 89:14).
All scripture is inspired of God to bring correction and training in righteousness so that we all will be equipped for every good work which includes establishing God’s justice (2 Timothy 3:16).
The church should not be silent while the world addresses the worst social injustice of our times. As followers of Jesus Christ it is our duty to take up the cause for the brokenhearted, rejected, cast down and hopeless ones (the abused) who God puts in our path.
Sex trafficking, beside death itself, is the most horrific of all abuses.
The average age of entry into porn and prostitution is 12 years old. The sale of child pornography has become over a $3 Billion a year industry. 1 out of 5 pornographic images are of a child with over 100,000 websites offering child pornography on the internet. 55% of internet child pornography comes from the United States.
Many women in porn admit they’ve experienced sexual, physical, verbal abuse and neglect by parents, which ultimately led them to the porn industry with violent and aggressive sexual behavior. In one study, 60% of men claimed they would rape a woman “if there were no chance of getting caught.” Studies also show that pornography can influence individuals’ attitudes toward women.
Domestic minor sex trafficking (DMST), which is the commercial sexual exploitation of children through buying, selling, or trading their sexual services, is happening within our borders. Forms of domestic minor sex trafficking include prostitution, pornography, stripping, and other sexual acts. At least 100,000 American children are being used for porn or prostitution every year. Most prostituted children have a pimp.
How can we, the church help these victims of the abuse? First by EDUCATION which leads to PREVENTION!!
Global GOGirl (globalgogirl.org) has a program called Overcoming Abuse Gods Way. This training is for community leaders and gives the profile of an abused woman with the cause and effects.
NO MORE LIES is a new campaign Global GOGirl started at the beginning of 2013 that simply states; you are not your circumstances but rather who God says you are.
If we could take the mandate to love God and love others and give the constant unconditional love of God to victims of abuse in a simple practical way while disciplining, these precious souls that God created, they too can overcome the cause and effects of abuse just like I did.
To God be the glory for His faithfulness forever and ever.

The other night I was watching a harmless home improvement program on HGTV. This man had purchased a foreclosure in the middle of dessert outside of Las Vegas, site unseen. It was an unfinished, new build with garbage everywhere. As his crew was cleaning up, they found a 3×3 secret cut out into a secret room. It was obvious the previous owner built it for trafficking. I was disturbed but focused on the remodel. Later in the middle of the night I woke up with a new sense of how real and horrible this is for so many young girls and boys. It is a satanic onslaught against the next generation. Thanks for sharing this book. Human trafficking is everyone’s problem.
Yes Joanna, the problem of sexual abuse, human trafficking is going on in the neighborhoods of the USA. I was shocked to hear of a story a month ago about a young girl in the Memphis TN area who after school was being sex trafficked for money then sent home with threats. The family never knew.
.
Being in the businesses of exposing these unjustic acts on people, i’ve heard many a story to include older women who were sex trafficked tens and twenties of years ago
The serious problem is minds are seared where it is open now and is almost common.
Thank you for your comments and bringing it home!
Let us look for ways to support our local Christ centered organziations that bring awareness and education to this problem.
Global Gogirl is one of those organizations that will help.
Again this issue comes to mind. This week we have family in from Maine and they have a 15 year old who loves to jog. I would love to empower her with information about how to be protected from slave traders. I see a lot of information that helps girls who have been through it but where can I find information to disclose the tactics of the industry and empower young girls to stay safe?
